In-Person Therapy in San Francisco
For some people, being able to meet with a therapist in person is an important part of what they’re looking for in therapy. There can be something meaningful about leaving your day-to-day environment and entering a separate space set aside for you and your inner life.
You may prefer not to have therapy from the same room where you work, sleep, or spend much of your day. You may live with a partner, family, or roommates and find it difficult to have real privacy at home. Or you may simply prefer meeting with your therapist face-to-face.
I offer in-person therapy in San Francisco on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at my office in Nob Hill.
My San Francisco Therapy Office
My office is located at 999 Sutter Street in Nob Hill, in a beautifully preserved pre-war building that’s home to therapists and other healing professionals.
The office offers a quiet, private space away from the demands of everyday life. There’s a waiting area just outside the office where you can settle in before your session.
Why Choose In-Person Therapy?
For some people, physically coming to therapy helps create a boundary around the experience. The trip to and from the office can also offer a little time to transition into the session and reflect afterward.
For others, virtual therapy makes more sense. Meeting from home can offer flexibility, eliminate a commute, and make therapy easier to fit into everyday life.
I offer both because different formats work for different people. What matters most to me is that you have options and can choose the setting that works for you.
Individual & Couples Therapy in San Francisco
I work with adults and couples around relationship and dating patterns, anxiety and shame, self-esteem, creative work, life transitions, and helping people better understand the patterns that can leave them feeling stuck.
My approach is psychodynamic and relational. Rather than focusing only on symptom relief or giving you a list of strategies to follow, we’re interested in understanding what lies beneath the surface — how your history, relationships, desires, and ways of seeing yourself may be shaping your life now.
My Nob Hill Office
My office is at 999 Sutter Street, in San Francisco’s Nob Hill neighborhood. Its central location makes it accessible from many parts of the city, including Russian Hill, Pacific Heights, Lower Nob Hill, Union Square, North Beach, and surrounding San Francisco neighborhoods.
I offer in-person individual and couples therapy here on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
